Aeronca L-3E
The Aeronca L-3E is a liaison aircraft used by the United States Army Air Corps during World War II. The L-3 series aircraft were adapted from Aeronca's pre-war Tandem Trainer and Chief models.
The Missouri Wing's Aeronca L-3E was manufactured as a civilian model 65TAC Defender in October 1941. The aircraft spent the war time years at Meacham Field in Fort Worth, TX likely serving as a primary trainer.
